setting iTunes in BOSS linux Tejas Version3.0

Postby bharath_kumar_v on Wed Jun 24, 2009 1:23 pm

Dear All,

I am writing this query to know whether it is possible to set up iTunes (iTunes is a proprietary digital media player application, used for playing and organizing digital music and video files. The program is also an interface to manage the contents on Apple's popular iPod digital media players - Source wikipedia.org). I have recently got a iPod nano and I want to know whether the iTunes can be set up in BOSS linux.

If it is possible, I request you to suggest the procedures. Is there any technical documents available for the same, if so, please send me the same.

Thanks and regards

Dear Bharath,

Use Banshee Music Player to manage your ipod. Banshee is available under Applications -> Sound & Video menu

Procedure:

1) The first time you run Banshee it will ask you to import your music library. Select Local Folder from the drop-down list and then click the Import Music Source button.

2) Navigate to the folder you store your music in, select it and click Open.

3) Banshee will launch and display your music library.

4) Plug in your iPod if it isn’t already, and it should appear in the left column. High-light files you want to copy to your iPod, and drag them to the iPod entry.
