USB Modem not detected

I have Intel D101GGC
I have an onboard Realtek 8101L 10/100 LAN ethernet card.

The ethernet card is not functioning (even in windows)
But the usb works.

Earlier in boss 2.0, it had detected the ethernet card and installed and though i connected modem through usb, i could access internet.

But in boss 3.0 it is not detecting ethernet card. So, after installation, the computer says, i have no internet connection.

How can i make the internet available through the usb?

In short, how can i make usb modems run, in boss.

U can configure your modem in System->Administration->Network
Enable the modem connection and edit its properties like modem port, phone number/dial prefix if available.
Make sure that the port name should be correct..
